The whole process of promoting simple projects, I would divide into 3 stages:
Compilation of the semantic core
Optimizing content
Link building
Basically, this is all that is needed for a successful promotion. Now let's talk about each step in more detail.
Compilation of the semantic core
The semantic core is a set of search queries by which you plan to promote a project. You can select keywords both through Yandex Wordstat and using specialized software.
Although, you don't have to bother and find an SEO specialist who will collect the core for you in a few hours/days. But be careful, as elsewhere, there are too many idiots among them.
Keywords are high-frequency, mid-frequency, and low-frequency. There are also micro-frequency and macro-frequency ones, but they come as an addition to the low-frequency ones, the so-called tail.
To understand what type of request is, compare it with the following values:
Low-frequency - up to 1000 requests / month
Medium-frequency - from 1000 to 10,000 requests / month
High-frequency - over 10,000 requests / month
It is best of all, especially for a young project, to select mid-frequency and low-frequency requests with a large tail from micro-frequency requests.
Why is it not worth promoting by high-frequency request?
Firstly, a young site will not be able to master high frequency. You will have to spend a lot of time and money + there is a great chance to get some soup in the form of a filter. And even if everything works out, it is not a fact that the result will meet expectations. For MF and LF requests, fewer visitors will come to you, but the percentage of those interested will be greater.
Accordingly, it is more profitable to promote a project for less competitive requests.
Optimizing content
With content optimization, everything is simple, but it takes a long time, especially when 30-50 articles have already been published on the site.
In the title and snippet, the key request must have an exact occurrence and occur at least 1 time. In an article, the request must be encountered at least 2 times, depending on the size of the article itself. By the way, the size of the article should not be less than 3500 characters without spaces.
In addition, you need to find and close duplicate pages in the robot.txt file. Duplicates are pages (2,3,4,5) that have the same content. They are created for various reasons, mainly due to the nuances of the CMS that you use.
An equally important point when optimizing content is internal linking. Ideally, each article should have a link to the main page, plus 2-3 links to other articles within the same project.
Perhaps these are all the main points on content optimization. Keep writing new, optimized articles, and in 1-2 months you can start buying links.
Link building
Building a high-quality link mass is a very serious, long and responsible step. If you buy a large number of links on a young site in a short period of time, a link explosion will occur and, in 90% of cases, it will fall under the filter.
My advice to you is not to buy a lot. Save money and invest it gradually. Less is more.
Remember, in this article; we have covered just the basics of SEO. You'd better look for more detailed information on website promotion on specialized forums or blogs of SEO specialists. But remember about the idiots, there are plenty of them here and there.
